Executive Note

Dear Members and Readers,

We’re in the full swing of activities after the summer holidays. September was a traditional mix of back-to-business networking events as well as sector-focused and topic-focused conferences, webinars, workshops and training sessions. It was great to catch-up with so many of you over the past month!

From October to December – the busiest time of year for us by far – we’re looking forward to meeting you at our numerous activities and events across Warsaw, London, Wrocław, Poznań, Rzeszów, Katowice and Łódź. Each event is promoted in our weekly Events Newsletter that appears every Wednesday; we have developed new icons to highlight the subject area (ie. ESG, HR, Tax) to allow for easier navigation through the content.

Please follow us on our social-media channels where we publish and promote individual events and activities. We encourage all members to share the newsletter and our social media posts with new work colleagues or business partners.

This issue of Contact Magazine Online is all about digitalisation, with a strong focus on innovation in AI. There are five interviews and 19 articles from members that give a unique big-picture overview of how the Polish economy – and the Polish state – are digitalising. From the implementation of e-invoicing (KSeF) to copyright issues surrounding generative AI, from the current state of Poland’s IT skills market to innovative use-cases for AI across business, there’s much practical information to learn from inside.

As a chamber, we are also keeping up with the digital pace: the implementation of our new CRM system has been completed, which will allow better management of our databases. This will be a huge jump in quality when compared to the old system we had. Project implementation was led by Jakub Piegat,  who successfully cooperated with external provider to migrate the data on to a new system. Our web site has also had a number of recent upgrades to allow for better end-user experience. Digital change is a continuous process and one that we are firmly committed to. 

Finally, we’d like to extend a warm welcome to Jennifer Tyldesley, new Minister Counsellor at the British Embassy in Warsaw who started her post this summer. Our board will closely cooperate with Jennifer and her team, and we wish Jennifer every success in her role.
