Despite the fact that ChatGPT 4.0 has been revolutionising virtually every area of our lives for almost a year now, its creators, OpenAI OpCo, LLC, have still not secured legal protection for the word mark on their flagship product in their home market.

The result? Recently, Elon Musk announced that he is working on an alternative to ChatGPT called TruthGPT.

Solutions such as MedicalGPT or DirtyGPT are also available on the market. OpenAI’s situation is also complicated by the fact that others could hypothetically block registrations containing the word element ‘GPT’.
