The regular gathering of BPCC members to celebrate the end of the summer holidays was held at the Mamaison Hotel Le Regina Warsaw on Wednesday 28 August 2019.

A beautifully warm evening at the end of a hot, cloudless August day, it proved to be a great time to meet up with old friends, make new contacts, share holiday anecdotes – and discuss the business agenda for the busy months ahead. As well as the chance to mingle with the British-Polish business community, other nations were also represented in the form of the International Group of Chambers of Commerce, of which the BPCC is currently holding the presidency (from 1 July to 31 December 2019).

Participants of the event had the opportunity taste Singleton single malt whisky, generously supplied by Reserve Business Club, delight in the outstanding taste of barbequed British lamb from AHDB, and try a range of excellent and unique (on the Polish market) Scottish ciders from EMIXIT, including one aged in old whisky barrels. Great salads food was laid on by the Mamaison Hotel Le Regina.

After a short welcome by Antoni F. Reczek, BPCC chairman, and Jarosław Huńka, the general manager of the Mamaison Hotel Le Regina, there was a presentation of the Sue Ryder Foundation by Barbara Stachowiak-Kowalska, BPCC board member. “Lady Ryder of was a British-born Polish patriot that will inspire your staff and enrich your company’s CSR,” she said.

A thoroughly enjoyable – and useful – evening that will be remembered for a long time!
