Wrocław’s 15th International Oktoberfest maintained its famed profile as one of the largest and most prestigious business events in Lower Silesia.

It was held once again in the City Arsenal on 13 September 2019.  The event was organised by the largest international chambers of commerce in Lower Silesia – the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland with support of the Irish Polish Chamber of Commerce and as always enjoyed great interest. Guests filled the Arsenal with a joyful and excited atmosphere. The meeting was inaugurated by the traditional tapping of the barrel by James Hughes, Minister-Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the British Embassy, and Hans-Jörgen Neumann, consul-general of Germany in Wroclaw. This year’s event was hosted by TV presenter Jarosław Kret, and the evening’s attractions were traditionally the performances of the Bavarian Musikkapelle Niederwangen and many other attractions. Guests also had the opportunity to take advantage of the rich gastronomic offer and tasting the various types of beer and cider offered both by local producers and the largest beer brewery in Poland – Kompania Piwowarska. The culmination of the evening was the selection of the winners of the Oktoberfest Game with a large number of attractive prizes funded by the sponsors. As ever, it was a time to swap business cards, meet new contacts and discuss potential new business. The mix of participants representing large foreign investors across Lower Silesia, local businesses and local authorties, ensured a flourish of new business contacts that hopefully would continue to boost the region’s economic growth.
