Michał Masztakowski, an expert with more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, has been promoted to Head of Retail Agency Poland at global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield.  He will be responsible for the development and implementation of a business strategy for the retail business line, driving the expansion of the firm’s client portfolio and leading a team of advisers supporting retail tenants and investors.

Given the scale of changes and challenges facing the retail sector globally, we, as a real estate advisory firm, need to take a critical look at how we could better support our clients in adapting their strategies to new trends shaping the retail landscape. This is what we have placed a very strong emphasis on over the last year, carefully reviewing the portfolio of our services and analysing our operational model. Now the time has come to appoint a new team leader. I am confident that with his wealth of experience, commitment and energy, Michał will greatly strengthen the capabilities of the Retail Agency of Cushman & Wakefield Poland. I would also like to thank our entire team, including Anna Oberc-Krzycka and Ada Budynek for their enormous contribution to the change process that has been taking place in the team in the last few months, and Beata Kokeli for her continuous support of the transformation, and to wish Michał every success in his new role, says Krzysztof Misiak, Head of Cushman & Wakefield Poland.

Michał has worked in commercial real estate for over 25 years, including his tenure with both advisory companies, developers and retail landlords. He rejoined Cushman & Wakefield in early 2022 (having worked for it in 1998-2002) and has ever since actively contributed to the expansion of the firm’s client portfolio both in Poland and in CEE. During his professional career he has advised on retail leases, sales and acquisitions, and development of investment plans for the construction of shopping centres.
