Clifford Chance advised Cellnex Telecom S.A., Europe’s leading operator of wireless telecommunications infrastructures, on the Polish aspects of its acquisition of the remaining 30% stake in OnTower Poland sp. z o.o., the Polish telecommunications infrastructure company.
OnTower was set up by both operators back in 2021 as part of Cellnex’s acquisition of the network of approx. 7,000 sites in Poland from mobile operator Play. Cellnex will now control 100% in OnTower. The transaction amount is approx. EUR 510 million.
The Clifford Chance Warsaw team advising on the transaction included Krzysztof Hajdamowicz (Counsel, Corporate/M&A) and Marta Marzysz (Lawyer, Corporate/M&A).
Earlier Clifford Chance advised Cellnex Telecom on the acquisition of Polkomtel Infrastruktura and on the subsequent acquisitions of 60% and 10% stakes in OnTower.
