Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Pelion S.A., the leading Polish company providing services covering all sectors of the pharmaceutical distribution market to individual patients, pharmacies, hospitals and manufacturers, on an EUR 25 million equity investment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the EBRD), through a capital increase in Pelion.

As a result of the investment, the EBRD will become a minority shareholder holding 4.35% of the shares in Pelion S.A.

The EBRD’s investment will provide support for Pelion S.A. to further strengthen its position in the pharmaceutical market in Poland and Europe, as well as explore and develop new business areas.

The White & Case team that advised on the transaction included partners Marcin Studniarek (Warsaw) and Ian Ivory (London), of counsel Aneta Hajska (Warsaw) and associate Damian Lubocki (Warsaw).
