Lakeside is a modern office building located at ul. Szturmowa 2 in the Mokotów district in Warsaw, next to the Dolina Służewiecka park. The developer of the complex is the Belgian investment company Atenor, Grupa 5 Architekci was responsible for its design, and the general contractor was the PORR construction company. The investment is distinguished by a high standard of finishing of common areas. In both representative entrance halls, decorative resin terrazzo floors were installed, i.e. Mondéco Classic by Flowcrete, a leading expert in this technology.
Lakeside is a building with an interesting architectural form, located in the green surroundings of the Dolina Służewiecka Park, by a picturesque pond. Lakeside’s office space is 23,834 m2. The office building consists of characteristic shapes formed by offset segments two or three storeys high. Rhythmic divisions on the facades and large glazing make the facility look light and modern, and the workspaces have optimal access to natural daylight.
The office building at ul. Szturmowa 2 in Warsaw is the first project developed in Poland by the international company Atenor, listed on the Euronext stock exchange in Brussels. The developer is present in 10 countries around the world, where it implements large-scale investments, located in attractive locations, meeting rigorous criteria of economic efficiency, in line with the sustainable construction idea.
The Lakeside office building in Warsaw, certified in BREEAM at the Outstanding and WELL Gold levels, is distinguished by a high standard of finishing of common areas. In both parts of the building, in the entrance areas, on a total area of approximately 340 m2, extremely impressive resin terrazzo floors, i.e. Mondéco Classic, were applied.
Mondéco Classic is a seamless floor made of a combination of coloured epoxy resin and marble aggregate. It is made on the construction site, directly on a concrete slab, and then repeatedly ground and polished mechanically until an even, smooth surface resembling natural stone is obtained. This technology offers wide possibilities for creating patterns and colours.
In the open access areas of Lakeside, resin terrazzo was made in the standard shade of Dark Gray Chalk. In the internal zones, the boundaries of which are marked by gates preceding the elevator halls, the colours of the floors have been matched to the veneers used to finish the walls, ceilings, and reception furniture. The floors in these spaces were made in versions created especially for this investment. In part “A” of the building, the floor in a warm, creamy shade of white was combined with a light veneer resembling birch wood. However, in part “B” of the building, where a dark veneer resembling walnut was used, the investor chose Mondéco Classic in brown.

At Lakeside, we wanted to create elegant spaces, and the use of high-quality materials emphasizes the prestige of our investment. We were looking for a flooring solution that would be solid and durable, easy to maintain and clean so that it would maintain an attractive appearance for years. Seamless resin terrazzo floors look good on large surfaces. Thanks to the possibility of individual colour selection, the obtained visual effect meets our expectations,” – said Maciej Cuch, Project Manager of Lakeside project, ATENOR Poland.
