      More about the PRIME Project

The PRIME grant project is a new initiative by the Foundation for Polish Science supporting research teams on their journey from idea to business. Participants learn how to develop solutions that meet real market needs and how to design effective commercialization strategies — including the creation and growth of spin-off companies.

Project teams include scientific leaders, technology transfer specialists, and business leaders, supported by mentors and industry experts. Their role is to help assess market fit, identify customers, and build partnerships.

Program participants receive comprehensive support in:
🔹 Developing business competencies and collaboration skills
🔹 Identifying and assessing the market potential of their innovations
🔹 Creating and implementing commercialization strategies
🔹 Building networks and strategic partnerships
🔹 Establishing and managing spin-off companies

The project consists of three stages:
Phase I (6 months) – Team capacity building and initial market validation
Phase II (12 months) – In-depth market analysis, product development, and customer outreach
Phase III (12 months) – Support for spin-offs created in Phase II in implementing their individual development plans

Participants’ development is supported through dedicated trainings, workshops, bootcamps, and study visits.

To strengthen the practical dimension of the program, FNP has partnered with the UK consulting company Oxentia Ltd, bringing expertise from the Oxford innovation ecosystem and extensive international experience in intellectual property management, knowledge and technology transfer, IP valuation, spin-off creation, and fundraising for academic ventures.

The PRIME project is financed by the European Funds for a Modern Economy (FENG) program, with the Foundation acting as the Beneficiary and Lead Partner.

We look forward to seeing you there!
