• Cundall announces Wojtek Stec, as the newest Partner in its global leadership team.
  • Olga Litkovets, David Rivers and Jose Castilla have also been promoted to Partner to help lead the practice.
  • Alongside Jose Castilla in Spain, Wojtek is the first Partner in the global practice to be based in the EU.

Global, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Cundall, has today announced that Wojtek Stec has been made a Partner, strengthening the practice’s international leadership team. Wojtek joins three other new Partners – David Rivers in London, Jose Castilla in Madrid, and Olga Litkovets in Dubai – to bring the number of Partners in the business to 51, help strengthen Cundall’s existing leadership team and pave the way for continued global growth.

Wojtek has been leading Cundall’s offices in Poland, developing both the Warsaw and Wrocław branches from the very beginning in 2012. He first joined the practice as a Senior Environmental Engineer in London in 2006 and has worked his way up through the ranks, helping to take the global business to new heights, particularly with his contribution to sustainability services.

As a specialist in low-carbon engineering, Wojtek possesses in-depth knowledge of natural ventilation, passive design and computational fluid dynamics. He completed his PhD in Delft, Netherlands focusing on double skin facades and their integration with building systems. He is proud to have helped deliver projects across the globe including Moorgate Station in London, CPK airport in Poland, Luleå Data Centre in Sweden and SGA Data Centre in Singapore. These projects were particularly challenging due to unprecedented scale and complex engineering problems related to sustainability aspects.

Commenting on his new role, Wojtek said:

“In the 18 years I have been part of Cundall, I have been proud to see it go from strength to strength, opening offices and taking on projects in new and exciting locations. The team in Poland is extremely talented and dedicated to delivering high-profile projects both nationally and internationally. I am proud to now be representing them as a Partner in our business.”

“What inspires me most about working for Cundall is the fact that we are an open platform with no communication barriers between different levels in the hierarchy. There is an exceptional openness to new initiatives here, and we have an incredible capacity for collective effort. I hope to contribute further to increase our capacity for innovation and stimulate our global team development to achieve technical perfection. I am already doing this as a leader of Cundall’s R&D initiative. By becoming a partner, I hope to further develop this area in the company and elevate Cundall to a higher level of engineering excellence.”

Alongside Jose Castilla in Spain, Wojtek is the first Partner in the global business to be based in mainland Europe. In his new role as Partner, Wojtek will continue to lead and grow Cundall Poland, which includes over 70 professionals delivering sustainability, building services, civil engineering, security, structural engineering, and BIM services across all sectors.

Commenting on Wojtek’s appointment as a Partner, Cundall Managing Partner, Carole O’Neil, said:

“Alongside the global leadership team, I am so pleased to welcome Wojtek as a Partner in our practice. He is already an invaluable member of our team, having led our Polish business for many years, and his expertise in low-carbon design means he is well-placed to helping us achieve our Zero Carbon Design 2030 goals in the region. I look forward to working alongside him as we continue this good work to deliver high profile projects and grow the reputation of Cundall in the Polish market.”

Other newly appointed Partners helping to build on the vision set by previous generations of Cundall Partners, include Olga Litkovets, David Rivers and Jose Castilla.

Olga Litkovets, first joined Cundall Dubai in 2017 as Head of Business Development and Marketing in MENA and has since been an integral part of MENA’s leadership team, helping to solidify client relationships and grow Cundall’s profile in the region. In 2023, she was promoted to lead a team of 40 as Global Director of Business Development and Marketing and has also extended her influence on the wider business as chair of Cundall’s EMENA Board and helping to establish Cundall’s business in KSA.

David Rivers joined Cundall’s Structural Engineering team in 2017. Based in London, he has helped to lead the team to success on a range of projects across the lifestyle, commercial and workplace sectors including, most notably, the award-winning Indoor Tennis Centre for the AELTC at Wimbledon. David is passionate about sustainability and has been helping to drive Cundall’s Zero Carbon Design 2030 ambition. He is also dedicated to helping the next generation of engineers achieve success in the industry, acting as Reviewer and Delegated Engineer (DE) for the Institution of Civil Engineers, and is a member of the Surrey Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).

Based in Madrid, Jose Castilla joined Cundall as a graduate engineer in 2003 and impressed so much that he was quickly promoted through the ranks to become Director of Cundall España in 2007. Now, 21 years later, he has grown Cundall’s Spanish business to include 28 staff, delivering sustainability, building services, civil engineering, and fire design across all sectors. Jose has extensive experience in passive design, sustainability and building services, and is proud to have collaborated with top national and international architects on a range of high-profile projects including One Hyde Park in London, Edificio España in Madrid and Telefonica Data Centre in Alcalá de Henares.

Cundall operates as a UK-registered Limited Liability Partnership wholly owned by the Partners – all of whom have a hands-on role in the management of the business and the projects they are commissioned to deliver.
