Air Products is a global leader in the area of industrial gas. KGHM is a Polish champion in the mining and metallurgy sector, and one of the world’s largest producers of copper and silver. The two companies, which have enjoyed a long-standing business relationship, have just finalised a complex transaction, with Kochański & Partners providing legal advice and support to Air Products throughout the sale process.
The long-standing relationship between Air Products and KGHM, coupled with the need to address numerous complex issues within the transaction, required us to demonstrate a combination of in-depth legal expertise, strategic thinking and a creative approach during negotiations. Taxes that support business – Kochański & Partners tax team in the global ITR World Tax 2026 ranking
The Kochański & Partners Tax Practice has once again been recognised on the international stage. And for another year in a row.
In the latest edition of the prestigious ITR World Tax 2026 ranking, the Firm is once again among the top tax advisory firms in Poland. Why is this so important? Because despite growing and increasingly fierce competition, and a clear trend towards specialisation and the exploitation of market niches, Kochański & Partners remain at the very top among tax specialists. This confirms that the consistent implementation of their work philosophy and mission continues to deliver real results, proving that tax law is not just a set of regulations, but a powerful strategic tool for building a competitive advantage for clients.
ITR World Tax 2026 for Kochański & Partners
The ITR World Tax ranking recognised the Kochański & Partners team in five categories:
- Tax controversy
- Transactional tax
- General corporate tax
- Transfer pricing
- Indirect tax
In addition, the following individuals received ‘Highly Regarded’ distinctions: Agata Dziwisz-Moshe (transactional tax), Andrzej Malec (general corporate tax) and Wojciech Śliż (indirect tax). The Head of the Tax Practice was also honoured with the Women in Tax Leader title.
But that’s not all. Kochański & Partners emphasise their commitment to participating actively in public debate, striving to create better, more dependable legislation.
And that is why:
- Kochański & Partners initiated a debate on the fiscal consequences of Swiss franc mortgage settlements at the Polish Bank Association. They developed innovative and effective legal arguments to protect financial institutions from double taxation
- In collaboration with the Warsaw Enterprise Institute and as part of entrepreneur Rafał Brzoska’s SprawdzaMY initiative, the Firm is actively working to deregulate Polish tax law. The Ministry of Finance has already reflected four of its proposals for change in its draft amendments
