UCity is a residential investment by Acciona Nieruchomości, developed in the southwestern part of Warsaw, in the Ursus district. The architectural studio dot. architekci prepared the design of the second stage of the estate, and the General Contractor was Unibep SA from Bielsk Podlaski. The second stage of the estate comprises almost 100 apartments of various sizes and an underground car park, in which high-quality Deckshield resin floors from Flowcrete, a leading expert in this technology, were applied on an area of 4,800 sq m.
UCity estate, located at ul. Henryka Brodatego in Warsaw’s Ursus district, is located in a quiet area, surrounded by greenery and low-rise villa buildings, and at the same time is well connected to the city centre. It is distinguished by an attractive and modern architectural form, and also elegant and functional design solutions. In the first stage, completed in 2021, six multi-family buildings offering 171 apartments were developed. It was designed by the architectural firm – Autorska Pracownia Architektury Kuryłowicz & Associates, and the General Contractor was F.B.I. Tasbud.
The newest, second stage of the UCity investment, completed in 2024, is architecturally consistent with the first stage of the estate. The architectural office dot. architekci from Toruń was responsible for its design, and the General Contractor was Unibep SA. In four detached buildings, there are almost 100 apartments of various sizes, ranging from 33 to 91 sq m, with gardens, terraces and loggias. Residents also have access to an underground car park offering 149 parking spaces.
The developer of the estate, Acciona Nieruchomości, is a pioneer in the field of eco-efficient construction. In the designs of its investments, it uses the highest quality materials and innovative technologies to create a resident-friendly living environment. An example of such a solution is Deckshield resin flooring, installed in the parking lot of the second stage of the UCity estate on an area of 4,800 sq m. Light grey coatings with contrasting horizontal markings in an orange-red shade are a visually attractive combination that makes the parking lot perceived by users as a bright, spacious and friendly place.
Deckshield car park flooring systems are based on flexible polyurethane resins and quartz sand. These coatings are used to protect the concrete substrate against the degrading effects of intense vehicle traffic, leaks of fuels and other automotive operating fluids, and, among others, the destructive impact of de-icing salt residues transported on tyres. Floors from this group are durable and mechanically resistant, as well as chemically resistant to the loads typical of garages and parking lots.
Quartz sand gives Deckshield floors anti-slip appropriate to the conditions of use. Flexible polyurethane resins give them the crack-bridging properties of standard scratches in the substrate. Moreover, these coatings are easy to keep clean and retain their attractive appearance for years. A wide selection of colours allows one to create an aesthetic space in the parking lot, as well as provide clear horizontal markings to organize traffic.
Deckshield floors intended for use in the interiors have low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), confirmed by the Indoor Air Comfort® Gold certificate, granted by Eurofins based on regular sample tests in laboratories and audits of production processes.
„The Acciona Group has been present in Poland for over 30 years, during this time we have completed and put into use 2,900 apartments. We use our experience to develop investments that take into account the criteria of sustainable development and environmental protection while paying attention to their economic dimension. This also applies to the selection of finishing materials, e.g. Deckshield parking floors, which increase the durability of the building’s structural elements, improve the functionality and aesthetics of the car park space, and thanks to the low emission of VOC particles confirmed in tests, they have a positive impact on the indoor air quality,” – said Anna Terlecka, Sales Director in ACCIONA Nieruchomości.
Deckshield resin floors in the parking lot of the second stage of the UCity estate were made by Epo Sp. z o. o. from Warsaw conducted by Bartłomiej Jędrzejewski, Authorized Flowcrete Contractor.
