The successful candidate would work closely with the BPCC business members, regional stakeholders including local authorities in the Western Poland region to address British and/or regional corporate investors expectations in economic ecosystem.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Regional Strategy

  • Lead and manage the Wroclaw regional office, ensuring effective day-to-day operations
  • Manage and develop the Chamber’s activities in the Western Poland region, with a particular focus on Wroclaw, Poznan and Szczecin
  • Define and execute the regional strategy in line with the Chamber’s national and international objectives
  • Act as a senior spokesperson of the Chamber in the region, maintaining high-level relationships with CEOs, board members, senior public officials, and diplomatic representatives
  • Anticipate regional economic trends and translate them into actionable opportunities for Chamber members


Financial & Commercial Management

  • Full P&L responsibility for the Western Poland region, including budgeting, revenue generation, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Set and deliver commercial targets (membership growth, sponsorship revenue, event profitability, project income)
  • Proactively identify new revenue streams, partnerships, and flagship initiatives for the Chamber


Member Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Represent the interests of Chamber members in relations with external stakeholders, including public authorities, business institutions, and partners
  • Develop and maintain strong internal business relationships among Chamber members and external stakeholders (business leaders, VIPs, consular corps, and local authorities)
  • Identify, recruit, and convert prospective companies into long-term Chamber members, while ensuring fulfilment of the Chamber’s statutory duties
  • Manage member relationships and ensure a high level of member satisfaction, engagement, and retention


Events & Networking

  • Organise and oversee regional events, including:
  • industry and thematic events
  • networking formats (speed business mixers, business mixers, cocktail parties, etc.)
  • executive and senior management events
  • large-scale events (congresses, conferences, forums)
  • 1:1 business meetings
  • Design, introduce, and develop flagship networking event brands (e.g. Speed Business Mixer, Interchamber Golf Tournament, Real Estate Forum, International Oktoberfest)
  • Ensure the quality, positioning, and strategic relevance of all regional events and projects
  • Identify, secure, and manage sponsors and partners for the Chamber events and initiatives


Trade & Investment Facilitation

  • Initiate and facilitate trade and investment links between Poland and the United Kingdom, including:
  • organising trade missions in both directions
  • supporting British investors entering the region (location selection, permits, regulatory and administrative guidance)
  • conducting market research and business analyses
  • Participate in and support projects led by the Chamber and/or its members


Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across all regional activities
  • Respond effectively to the business needs and requests of Chamber members
  • Provide regular strategic reporting and insights to the Chamber’s Managing Director


Representation & External Relations

  • Represent the Chamber at regional economic events, conferences, forums, and industry meetings
  • Collaborate closely with the British Embassy in Poland and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree-educated, ideally in business, international affairs or related degree
  • At least B2 of English, Polish as native language
  • At least 3 years of experience in business, NGOs or diplomacy
  • Strong interest in business and international economy
  • Teamwork skills, including team management / project management
  • Ability to work under time pressure and responsibility for the result
  • Self-starter with target orientation and ability to absorb knowledge quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Public speaking skills
