Agnieszka Wardak, an advocate (adwokat), has joined the Warsaw office of international law firm Taylor Wessing as a Partner and Head of the Compliance, White-Collar and Investigations practice.
Agnieszka Wardak has more than twenty years of experience acting as representative and counsel in criminal matters. She represents companies and individuals in criminal, administrative, civil and disciplinary proceedings. She specialises in corporate liability matters and the management of related risks.
She regularly conducts internal investigations, including those initiated following whistleblower reports. In these matters, she advises clients on developing the most effective strategies and practical solutions. She also supports clients in designing and implementing compliance frameworks, whistleblowing channels, and in navigating EU and national sanctions regimes.
Senior Associate Oliwia Sentysz, an advocate (adwokat), is also joining the team alongside Agnieszka. Oliwia has extensive experience in matters involving corporate crime, management board liability and fiscal criminal law. Both lawyers have previously worked in the Warsaw office of Dentons.
“We are delighted to welcome Agnieszka and Oliwia to Taylor Wessing. In the context of rapidly evolving macroeconomic and geopolitical conditions, businesses today operate in an environment of heightened regulatory and commercial uncertainty. In such circumstances, effective legal risk management, strong compliance frameworks and experienced support in disputes and investigations are becoming increasingly important. The arrival of Agnieszka and Oliwia significantly strengthens our capabilities in the areas of compliance, corporate crime, internal investigations and contentious proceedings, enabling us to support our clients even more effectively in their most complex matters,” said Dr Ewelina Stobiecka, Managing Partner of Taylor Wessing in Poland.
“Joining Taylor Wessing gives me the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of outstanding lawyers across a range of specialisations, while also contributing my extensive experience in compliance, internal investigations and criminal matters. These are areas that are particularly sensitive for clients due to the risks associated with both personal and organisational liability,” added Agnieszka Wardak.
