Taylor Wessing advised PKO Bank Polski S.A. on the financing of the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Centrum Diagnostyki Laboratoryjnej sp. z o.o. by ALAB Laboratoria sp. z o.o.

The transaction was led by Counsel Antoni Goraj, supported by Associate Maria Gałęzowska. Strategic supervision was provided by Partner Zbigniew Korba, Head of the Banking and Finance team in Poland.

Following the integration, ALAB Laboratoria and CDL will have an expanded laboratory base, enabling greater diagnostic capabilities, including in smaller towns. The joint network will comprise nearly 800 collection points across all provinces. The total number of tests performed annually is expected to reach 110 million.

ALAB Laboratoria sp. z o.o. is a network of medical analysis laboratories in Poland, established in 2001. For many years, it has focused on innovative development and on expanding access to information in the fields of diagnostics, prevention, and treatment.

Centrum Diagnostyki Laboratoryjnej sp. z o.o. is a nationwide network of Polish medical laboratories established in 1998, which cooperates with the largest clinical facilities. CDL also has teaching facilities and serves as a training base for laboratory diagnosticians.
