Europe is to become carbon neutral by 2025. The transformation that the European Union, its member states and, by extension, its businesses will undergo will be unprecedented, says Joanna Barbrich (Kochański & Partners).
However, a climate-neutral circular economy cannot be achieved without the full mobilisation of all sectors, and so the EU is introducing new sustainability requirements.
Companies will soon be required to include environmental and social issues as well as human rights and corporate governance in annual reporting.
