On 15 April 2025, the British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC), in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), hosted a high-level business event at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London — Seizing Opportunities in Poland: Stronger Ties, Smarter Investment. The workshop brought together investors, business leaders, economic experts, and public sector representatives for a focused discussion on Poland’s growing significance as a strategic gateway to the European Union.

In an ever-evolving European economic landscape, Poland continues to stand out as one of the most attractive destinations for investment. A stable business environment, competitive incentives, and advanced logistics infrastructure have made Poland home to over 1,400 British-owned companies. Many more are increasingly turning their attention to the Central and Eastern European market.

The event was officially opened by Professor Piotr Wilczek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the United Kingdom, who highlighted Poland’s role as a key economic partner for the UK and the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation. He was joined by Ilona Chodorowska, Regional Director of the BPCC, who outlined the practical benefits of doing business in Poland and the value of institutional support for foreign investors.

During the expert panel, Monika Kisiel and Natalia Tsen from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency provided an in-depth overview of public aid instruments and promising growth sectors in Poland. Magdalena Kusa, International Banking Director at Santander, shared practical insights on starting a business in Central Europe, while Mariusz Sinior, Senior Associate at Colliers, presented current trends in Poland’s manufacturing and warehousing sectors.

It is worth noting that British foreign direct investment (FDI) in Poland has surpassed £6.7 billion, while Polish companies — including well-known brands such as InPost and TFKable — are making a growing impact in the UK market. With a shared appetite for sustainable growth and technological innovation, both countries are well positioned to deepen economic ties.

Following the formal sessions, attendees continued their conversations during an informal networking reception. The event proved not only to be an excellent source of knowledge, but also an inspiring platform for building long-term business relationships and making informed investment decisions.

Our sincere thanks go to all the speakers, partners, and participants who contributed to the success of this workshop. We firmly believe that initiatives like this are a powerful example of how we can continue to build economic bridges between Poland and the United Kingdom.
