On 25 July 2024, the BPCC’s Public Affairs Group met with Jacek Bartmiński, under-secretary of state in the Ministry of State Assets, and with representatives of the legal department, department of fuel and energy companies, and the department of international cooperation and European funds.

The meeting focused on points raised by the energy industry: equal treatment of private and state companies, the issue of the strategic fuel reserve, aviation fuel and the production of bio-methane. Other topics discussed included the supervision of nuclear energy, the Polish EU Presidency and offshore wind energy.

As Mr Bartmiński noted, despite Brexit, Polish-British cooperation is developing well. The BPCC is pleased that during the meeting there was ample opportunity to discuss particularly important issues affecting this cooperation. The BPCC is grateful to the ministry for the openness to engage in dialogue with its member companies, and hopes that thanks to the cooperation initiated by this meeting will contribute to the further strengthening of Polish-British relations.
