Akademeia Seminar with Dr Golachowski

Akademeia Seminars at Akademeia High School feature external guests with unique backgrounds and captivating stories, providing students and guests with opportunities to explore diverse fields and ideas. The series kicks off the new school year with its first seminar, featuring special guest Dr Golachowski, a biologist, polar explorer, and marine biology presenter.
Dr Golachowski has completed four expeditions to the Polish Antarctic Station, studying the ecology and genetics of marine mammals, particularly southern elephant seals. Since 2006, he has inspired audiences as a marine mammal expert and expedition guide, sharing remarkable stories from the polar regions. He is also an accomplished author and translator of popular science works.
You’re invited to learn about Antarctic and Arctic ecosystems through the eyes of a biologist and explorer, gaining a unique perspective on the wildlife and environments of the poles.
