Katowice, 27 November 2024 – Global Apartments is a residential tower that is being developed in the centre of Katowice, at the intersection of Mickiewicza and Dąbrówki streets, as part of the Global Office Park complex – the largest multifunctional project in Silesia. This modern investment with a timeless architectural style offers apartments of a very high standard. The building is being developed with the use of technologically advanced building materials, such as Deckshield polyurethane-quartz parking floors by Flowcrete, a leading expert in this field.
Resi Capital, a residential developer operating within the Cavatina Group, is responsible for the development of Global Apartments. The 27-story tower has a glass façade, and its 663 comfortable apartments, ranging from 25 to 71 square meters, are air-conditioned, and well-lit with natural sunlight, offering panoramic views. An exclusive lobby with a reception and a two-level underground car park with 669 parking spaces are also available for residents.
The multifunctional Global Office Park building complex, which comprises the Global Apartments residential tower, is a new architectural icon of Katowice. This unique investment was developed using high-quality building materials. An example of specialist technology, proven in skyscrapers in Poland and around the world, is the Deckshield resin flooring system, installed in the Global Apartments car park on a total area of over 18,000 square meters.
Deckshield is a group of floors made from flexible polyurethane resins and quartz sand. Their basic function is to protect the concrete substrate from the deteriorating effects of external factors. These coatings are durable and mechanically resistant, including to abrasion related to intensive car traffic, and resistant to substances found on parking and garage surfaces, such as fuels and automotive fluids, as well as residues of de-icing salts transported on tyres, chassis or car bodies. The addition of quartz sand gives them anti-slip properties adapted for the conditions of use, and a wide range of colours allows for clear markings to be made for traffic organization.
The grey Deckshield floors with white horizontal markings applied in Global Apartments ensure optimal visibility from the drivers’ point of view, which increases the safety of all car park users.
Deckshield floors have been installed in garages and car parks in Poland on a surface of over 2 million square metres, including the office towers in the new business centre at Rondo Daszyńskiego in Warsaw, such as Warsaw Spire, Warsaw Hub, Warsaw Unit and Generation Park, on a total surface of over 200,000 square metres.
