Flowcrete, the resin flooring expert, is introducing a new range of colours for its decorative Peran PGF Floor Flakes system and its reduced-VOC version, Peran PGF Floor Flakes LE. The range of standard shades includes 14 attractive colours that reflect leading design trends. Named after European cities, the colours include cool greys evoking the northern part of the continent and warm beiges and browns alluding to the sunny south.
Peran PGF Floor Flakes is a decorative flooring system consisting of coloured epoxy resin and flakes. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance and smooth, seamless surface, this flooring system is ideal for areas where high standards of hygiene and aesthetics are required. It is particularly well-suited to laboratories and cleanrooms, as well as public areas with moderate foot traffic, such as shops, educational and cultural facilities. This flooring technology also enables it to be applied to stairs.
Designed for green building projects, the Peran PGF Floor Flakes LE system uses coloured flakes and the innovative Peran STC LE resin. This technology enables the creation of floors with minimised emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and increased resistance to UV radiation. This solution is recommended for spaces with stringent indoor air quality requirements, areas with extensive glazing that receive intense natural sunlight, and buildings that are subject to environmental certification.
The new flooring colours in the Peran PGF Floor Flakes group are named after colour tones that evoke European cities. The standard palette includes white with darker accents (Oslo), various shades of grey that have been popular on the market for years (Stockholm, Berlin and Riga, for example), and blends with blue (Amsterdam and London) and green (Prague). Warm shades of beige and brown allude to southern European cities such as Florence, Granada, Lisbon, Siena and Barcelona. The darkest colours include two muted greens: Vienna and Copenhagen.
„Peran PGF Floor Flakes is a well-known and popular flooring option among investors and architects. It is durable yet easy to clean, and can be used to achieve a variety of visual effects. When creating the new colour scheme, we relied on original combinations of different coloured flakes. We wanted to take a fresh new approach while drawing on our long-standing experience of working with designers in order to create proposals that respond to their needs and fit in with current market trends,” – said Arch. Paulina Pilichowska, Product and Specification Specialist for the Flowcrete brand at Tremco CPG Poland, the author of the creation of the new flake flooring colours.
Made from pigmented epoxy resins and coloured flakes, the floors in the Peran PGF Floor Flakes range offer a wide range of design possibilities. For rooms with specific aesthetic requirements, Flowcrete’s brand experts can create unique, bespoke colour combinations in addition to standard shades.
