Tadeusz Jachowicz, former managing director of Gleeds Polska and regional director for central and eastern Europe (CEE), has announced he is to step down after 27 successful years. From January 2023 Vladimir Bily, CEE regional director based in Prague, will adopt overall responsibility for the country’s network of six offices and 150 staff, supported by local managing director, Jacek Kostrzewski.

Tadeusz first joined Gleeds Polska in 1995 as a senior project manager, before being named associate director in 1996. In 2003 he was promoted to the position of joint managing director of Gleeds Polska, taking up the mantle solo in 2006.  Since 2012, Tadeusz has also been undertaking the role of regional director, responsible for shaping the strategies which have enabled the expansion of Gleeds’ activity across central and eastern Europe.

During his long career he has overseen significant growth of the Polish operation – taking it from just one office in 1995, to a thriving business with six locations across the country today. Tadeusz was also instrumental in the foundation of a subsidiary in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, which continues to provide services to clients despite the ongoing conflict.

Commenting on his retirement, Tadeusz said: “I am extremely proud that, with my participation, Gleeds Polska has developed into the business you see today.  I know that the business is in safe hands with my colleagues here and am sure it will continue to do great things.”

“I’ll be taking with me fantastic memories of these 27 years at Gleeds, as well as some enduring friendships with contacts from the wider built environment. Working at Gleeds has been the fulfillment of a dream and I would like to thank everyone I have come across in my professional career for contributing to that. We’ve all played a part in creating the exciting Polish real estate market in which I’ve been lucky enough to work” he went on to add.

Managing director of Gleeds Polska, Jacek Kostrzewski, commented: “It has been wonderful to have had the opportunity to cooperate with Tadeusz. In him I have had both a supervisor and friend, who is always ready to help those in need. We have been through a lot together – crises, changes, ups, and downs. He leaves an impressive legacy, and we fully intend to continue to build on the strong foundation he’s built here.”
