Forvis Mazars in Poland: business evolution and support for Polish-British business

Forvis Mazars has been operating in Poland since 1992. In its early years, the firm focused primarily on providing auditing services. The business development model at that time was mainly based on the so-called joint audit – the audit of financial statements of selected large international listed companies of French origin by two audit firms independent of each other. In this way, following its clients from France, the firm expanded worldwide, including in Poland. Today, the firm offers a full range of services, proposing not only audit support, but also accounting, taxes, HR and payroll advisory, transaction services and consulting. It currently employs over 400 professionals, and has offices in four locations: Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Poznań. Forvis Mazars’ clients are Polish and international companies (including British ones), some of them being listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) or London’s FTSE. The company ranks among the top four market players in terms of audited asset value among GPW companies (according to the 2024 Rzeczpospolita ranking of audit firms) and third in the banking sector (PANA’s 2023 ranking based on the share of assets/number of audited banks in the total assets of all banks audited on the market and in the number of statutory audits of these entities). Among other things, the company has won audit assignments from prestigious entities such as Orlen and ING. Forvis Mazars has also been in a leading position for years in terms of number of successful transaction services projects in Central and Eastern Europe (based on Mergermarket’s Accountant League Table ranking for Central and Eastern Europe). As far as Polish-British relations are concerned, the UK Desk supports both British corporations and investment funds in the context of their operations in Poland, as well as Polish entities in the context of their development in the UK (where Forvis Mazars has 14 offices and 3,300 employees).

“Our growth confirms the strength and resilience of our unique integrated partnership model. It is well-balanced between regulated and non-regulated services, reflecting our long-term strategy of investing in a range of key, high-quality audit, accounting, tax and advisory services that help our clients grow confidently and responsibly. We offer solutions based on an in-depth understanding of each company, tailored to its stage of development and in line with its expectations. On the Polish market, we have for years been at the forefront of auditing and consulting companies. Operating within the Forvis Mazars structure with revenues of $5 billion will further strengthen our position in the industry and open up new opportunities to work with clients with international reach” said Olivier Degand, managing partner of Forvis Mazars in Poland.
