The International Opera Awards
The International Opera Awards is a yearly festival and award ceremony that celebrates operatic achievement and supports aspiring opera talent around the globe.
The Awards were established by prominent British FTSE250 businessman and opera fan Harry Hyman in 2012 and have since then taken place in some of the largest European opera venues, including Sadler’s Wells Theatre and The Coliseum in London and the Teatro Real in Madrid.
This year, the awards are due to take place in Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, stepping in to support Ukrainian Opera Houses in Lviv and Odesa that jointly won the main accolades last year. The award ceremony will take place on November 9th at the Teatr, under the patronage of the British Embassy in Warsaw, and accompanying receptions will be held in London and in Warsaw. The Awards present an excellent opportunity for British, Polish and Ukrainian corporations to bring their brand to the attention of Warsaw’s cultural and diplomatic elite.
