Polish Green Building Council invites for the fourth edition of its annual PLGBC GREEN BUILDING SYMPOSIUM, one of the most important and inspiring events on green building in Poland. It is the official conference, signed by international experts and organizations supporting the idea of green building.

On 5 March, representatives of firms which have recently joined the BPCC met at the British Polish Business Centre in Warsaw to learn about what their chamber does for them, and to meet face-to-face with other new members.

The BPCC held a conference on 27 November looking at the current situation on the Polish labour market. Subtitled Challenges and Headaches Facing HR Departments, the event was organised in partnership with the Wroclaw Agglomeration Development Agency, Altkom Akademia, Exence and SDZlegal Schindhelm.

Following on from the successful conference promoting the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in March, the BPCC organised a second event focused this time on BIM in infrastructure projects. The aim of the conference was to promote BIM not only to Polish architects and civil engineers, but equally importantly, to those in the public sector responsible for the procurement of projects.

The BPCC’s Food policy group met on 23 April at the British Embassy to discuss ‘functional foods’ – those products at the border of nutrition and medicine. This is a fast-growing segment of the food market, increasingly visible in shops. There are many issues surrounding this class of product, from potential for health risk, labelling and claim substantiation.

Katja Hall, CBI deputy director-general, visited the BPCC's headquarters this month for a meeting with three senior Polish government officials and representatives of some of the UK's largest investors in Poland.

The UK BIM Task Group was delighted to support the British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC), UKTrade & Investment Team and UK businesses working in Poland at their “The impact of Building InformationModelling (BIM) on Poland’s construction sector” conference.

The joint BPCC/UKTI event, supported by AstraZeneca, held at the British Embassy in Warsaw on 28 January, gave Polish experts the chance to discuss the healthcare challenges that face ageing societies.

A full-house representing a mixture of BPCC members and the Polish public sector met at the British Polish Business Centre in Warsaw on 12 February to look at an issue that continues to negatively affect many foreign investors in Poland.

TMT policy group meeting, co-organised by ATM S.A. took place on 13th September 2012. The meeting was devoted to the Polish data centre market along with a presentation of a cutting-edge data centre in Poland – the F3 facility, with an area of over 2,200m2, designed in accordance with Tier III international guidelines for standards of data centres, located on the grounds of ATM Data Centre in Warsaw.
