Clifford Chance advises Santander Bank Polska and CaixaBank on the financing of a 36 MW wind farm portfolio for Elawan Energy

International law firm Clifford Chance advised Santander Bank Polska S.A. (acting as Facility Agent, Security Agent, Account Bank, Mandated Lead Arranger, Original Lender and Hedge Counterparty), CaixaBank, S.A., oddział w Polsce (acting as Mandated Lead Arranger and Original Lender) and CaixaBank, S.A. (as Hedge Counterparty) in connection with the execution of a PLN 152 million facilities agreement for the financing of a portfolio of 4 onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 36 MW, belonging to Elawan Energy, a global renewable energy company. The projects won the 2019 RES auction and will sign 15-year contracts for difference providing them with stable revenue streams.

The BPCC joined PBLink for the first Polish Scottish Entrepreneurs’ Forum on 27 November 2015. The event was held at the prestigious premises of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, a building with a rich history associated with the most famous Scottish scientists and philosophers. Dentons advises Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska, EIB, CaixaBank and EKF on financing of wind farms developed by EDP Renewables

Dentons’ Banking and Finance practice team advised Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska, EIB, CaixaBank and EKF, Denmark’s Export Credit Agency, in relation to financing granted to subsidiaries of EDP Renewables for the development, construction and operation of six wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 150 MW. EIB’s share in the financing totals PLN 304 million (€66 million) while Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska and CaixaBank are providing the remaining PLN 370 million (€81 million) of the financing, partly backed by an ECA guarantee provided by EKF.
