Polish tax law changes 2018

On February 6, 2018 SCHNEIDER GROUP in cooperation with the British Polish Chamber of Commerce organized a short seminar with a tax expert in Warsaw.

Adrian Branny, General Director of SCHNEIDER GROUP’s Warsaw Office, held a consulting session with a group of business representatives over a cup of tea. The discussion was about the recent changes in tax regulations in Poland.

Most important amendments concern income taxes (CIT and PIT), including restrictions on the costs of debt financing, expenses on acquisition of certain services from related entities and foreign controlled companies. The new law introduced also a separate taxation of capital gains. Furthermore, we are facing a revolution in the VAT system due to the introduction of the split payment mechanism and the mandatory transfer of VAT control files by VAT payers.

Our expert, Adrian Branny analyzed the most important changes in the regulations concerning corporate and personal income taxes and new VAT regulations, focusing on their practical consequences.

The event was a semi-formal meeting with limited number of participants who have an unique chance to discuss the related topics in a small group.
