Contracts in business trading
Over 30 members of procurement, purchasing & sourcing departments of international and Polish companies met on 10 December in the brand new The Bridge Wrocław MGallery Hotel Collection and took part in a training regarding commercial contracts. The event was co-organized by Wiewiórski Legal, British Polish Chamber of Commerce (BPCC) and the Hotel.
The meeting started with the welcome speeches made by Ms. Ilona Chodorowska on behalf of the BPCC, Ms. Marta Stawinska-Janiec on behalf of the Hotel and by Marek Wiewiórski – the managing partner of our law firm. The main training was conducted by Marcin Wojtasik - senior partner and Maciej Jarecki - partner, head of commercial contracts at Wiewiórski Legal.
The participants could expand their knowledge regarding i.a. the types of commercial contracts, the process of concluding and terminating the contracts, general terms and conditions and limitations of liability. The lecturers also briefly discussed the latest changes in Polish law such as VAT split payment mechanism and VAT white list, Incoterms 2020 and upcoming anti-payment backlogs regulation.
