The Streetstore is a Czech retailer specializing in outdoor equipment and an authorised distributor of Oakley glasses. To differentiate itself from other similar shops and to attract young, adventure‑minded customers, the Streetstore decided to create a unique street‑style shop built from containers.

The shop was designed as a two‑storey building assembled from several steel‑based containers connected into one structure. To transform these containers into a contemporary retail space that meets all modern building requirements both inside and out, the Streetstore asked Tremco CPG to provide solutions for joint sealing, window installation, resin flooring design, and various interior applications.

Tremco CPG Solutions

Windows

  • Interior connection joints were sealed using ME508 and PU foam FM355.
  • On the exterior side, Tremco CPG recommended the TP602 impregnated tape.

Outer Terrace
A terrace is located on the upper level of the container structure. To prevent any leakage, the EPDM membrane ME220 was applied.

Exterior Joints
All exterior joints were sealed with the liquid membrane illbruck SP925.

Interior Applications

  • The wooden steps of the staircase were constructed using PU700 adhesive and bonded to the steel structure with SP350 adhesive.
  • All designed interior panels were fixed with the double‑sided bonding tape TN140.
  • All plasterboard joints were sealed with SP525.

Flooring

To highlight the shop’s high‑modern design, the Streetstore selected a two‑colour resin floor. Tremco CPG recommended the polyurethane resin system Flowshield LXP in the following build‑up:

  • Penetration layer: Peran STC,
  • Main layer: Flowshield LXP, 3 mm,
  • Top layer: Flowseal PU Matt.

 

The Streetstore project represents an interesting multi‑brand solution and demonstrate Tremco CPG‘s ability to cover several construction demands.
