The outstanding venue called “The Cool Library” (“Odjechana Biblioteka”) is an inspiring space created as part of the extension of “Samochodówka”, District School Complex No. 4 under the name of Jakub Wejher in Wejherowo, which opened at the end of February 2026. In this unique interior design by GK Atelier Grzegorz Kłoda, a key feature is the floor featuring graphics created by artist Oskar Piec, made using Flowcrete’s Peran SL self-levelling system and a topcoat, both manufactured and supplied by Tremco CPG.

“Odjechana Biblioteka” is a modern, inspiring and vibrant space created for the pupils of the District School Complex No. 4 under the name of Jakub Wejher in Wejherowo as part of an extension project, with Woj-Mar from Sopieszyn acting as the general contractor. The modern library combines the functions of a traditional lending library (boasting a rich collection of over 20,000 titles) with a space for meeting, working and relaxing.

The unique interior design project for the “Cool Library of the Automotive School” (“Odjechana Biblioteka Samochodówki”), created by architect Grzegorz Kłoda (GK Atelier Grzegorz Kłoda), aimed to create a youth-friendly space that meets global library standards whilst also prioritising high-quality design. This project is distinguished by its participatory nature, as staff, pupils and alumni of the school were involved in the process of creating the furnishings; in the school workshops, they produced, amongst other things, a steampunk[1] wall in the form of an original installation combining metal elements, which separates the relaxation area from the book collection.

The unique design of the relaxation area is shaped by works by the young artist Oskar Piec, such as the black, white, and copper composition on the main wall and the highly original caligraffiti-style floor, which combines calligraphy with graffiti, street art.

To create a 200 m² floor for the library, the investor and designer sought a solution that would complement the interior’s industrial character. A smooth, single-colour surface with minimal distinctions was required to serve as a backdrop for the graphics planned for the floor. Due to heavy foot traffic, it was advisable to use a system with high abrasion resistance, including ensuring the durability of the patterns drawn on the floor surface. Ease of cleaning and good acoustic properties were also important.

In response to these requirements, the Flowcrete flooring authorised contractor and Tremco CPG experts proposed a Peran SL seamless poured epoxy floor in a light grey colour, similar to RAL 7035. This is a versatile solution designed for areas with medium to heavy traffic, suitable for both industrial and public facilities. The smooth, uniform, light-coloured floor surface gives the library an attractive appearance, making it appear brighter and more spacious.

To enhance the durability of the designs created on the Peran SL floor by artist Oskar Piec using acrylic paints, the floor surface was coated with Flowseal PU Ultra Matt varnish, which gave it a matt finish and improved its acoustic properties by dampening footsteps.

„We take great pride in the fact that, in collaboration with the general contractor, the architect and the artist, we have created such a unique space at our school – a place where young people feel at home, which inspires them to acquire knowledge, develop their passions and bring their ideas to life. The distinctive character of our library is created by carefully selected and refined finishing materials and furnishings. The resin flooring with decorative patterns is a highlight of the interior design, and thanks to our collaboration with the manufacturer and the contractor’s commitment, the flooring system meets our expectations in terms of aesthetics, durability and functionality,” – said Cezary Lewandowski, Director of the District School Complex No. 4 under the name of Jakub Wejher in Wejherowo.

The resin flooring in the library of the District School Complex No. 4 under the name of Jakub Wejher in Wejherowo, was installed by Dual Sp. z o.o., a Flowcrete Authorised Contractor.
