Addleshaw Goddard has advised ING Bank Śląski on its agreement to acquire the remaining 55% stake in Goldman Sachs TFI, a leading Polish asset management company, from Goldman Sachs. The transaction will result in ING Bank Śląski holding 100% ownership of Goldman Sachs TFI, having previously acquired a 45% stake in 2019 via its subsidiary ING Investment Holding.
The acquisition, valued at PLN 396 million (approximately €93 million), is expected to complete in the first half of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Goldman Sachs TFI is a major player in the Polish asset management market with assets under management totalling PLN 48 billion. ING Bank Śląski is one of the largest banks in Poland. It serves over five million retail and corporate clients via its digital channels and its nationwide network of branches.
The transaction will further strengthen ING Bank Śląski’s position in the investment and retirement markets, enabling it to offer a comprehensive range of solutions under the ING brand, from deposits to investment products.
