A memorable evening for us all!

Last Thursday (3 September), the new British ambassador to Warsaw, Anna Clunes OBE, dropped into the British Polish Chamber of Commerce end-of-summer business mixer to greet members.

Still in her role as ambassador-designate, she chatted informally with members of the BPCC’s board of directors and with Tony Reczek, the chamber’s chairman. Everyone was delighted to meet and greet our new ambassador, who happened to remember some of our members from her previous Warsaw post back in the 1990s!

The mixer was the first occasion since February during which BPCC members could network face-to-face over a glass of wine or legendary spirits – obviously taking all the relevant precautions in view of the pandemic. There was a strong sense of how much people missed having the chance of a convivial conversation, and the courtyard of the Le Regina hotel in Warsaw’s Nowe Miasto was an ideal venue for the mixer the weather staying clement for the occasion.

The BPCC would also like to sincerely thank our partners for the evening: Savills whose CEO, Tomasz Buras, spoke to members about how the real estate sector is facing a significant shake-up and who the eventual winners would be,  and Pernod Ricard represented by Andrzej Szumowski, as well as the Sue Ryder Foundation, our first-choice charity to work with.
