Healthcare

The Healthcare policy group exists to develop proposals for solutions to improve patient access to modern, effective medical therapies. Exchange of best practice between the UK and Poland, and between BPCC members and the Polish public sector is crucial as ageing populations will place ever-greater demands for health services on an already over-stretched state budgets. Innovation in healthcare technology, management and systems is part of the answer. Growth in demand for healthcare is not coupled to a sufficiently rapid increase in spending; little effort is being made to improve the efficiency of spending. The Healthcare policy group focuses on the relationship between healthcare expenditure and effects; coordinated care and healthy ageing policies; and additional (top-up) private healthcare insurance. These issues are discussed with decision-makers and experts - domestic and foreign, from the public and private sectors.
