An iconic Polish streetwear brand open its first boutique

Fashion brand Local Heroes has opened its flagship store at 49 Mokotowska Street in Warsaw.

The tenant took occupancy of 81 sq m in the Mokotowska Square building. The owner of the building was represented in the transaction by real estate advisory firm Savills.

Local Heroes was founded in Poland in 2013. So far, the retailer’s streetwear products have been available online only. The boutique in Mokotowska Street is the brand’s first brick-and-mortar store carrying its products. The grand opening took place on 13 December 2019 following a publicity campaign “Are you really ok?".

“The Local Heroes brand became popular very quickly not only in Poland, but also abroad. We have already seen global music stars wear our products,” says Tomasz Czarnecki, President of the Management Board of Local Heroes.

“Warsaw’s Mokotowska Street has been a hotspot for luxury fashion boutiques for a long time. It is also a prime location for one of the leading streetwear brands in Poland,” says Dariusz Karwański, Associate Director, Office Agency, Landlord Representation, Savills.

Mokotowska Square is a class A office building in central Warsaw offering 8,500 sq m of leasable office space and 1,100 sq m of retail space. It was completed in 2011 by Yareal Polska. The owner of the property is Deka Immobilien.

Real estate advisory firm Savills is the sole letting agent on Mokotowska Square. The tenant was represented in the transaction by an independent retail property agent Michał Konstanty.
