The circular economy - what is it and what does it mean to you?
Are we, as a species, producing, consuming and wasting too much?
Our over-production and over-consumption is harming the planet. We are indeed 'stuffocating'. But what can responsible businesses do to curtail waste while maintaining profitability and growth? The answer lies in creating a circular economy, in which waste is designed out of the system.
The BPCC and Deloitte invite you to this meeting of the CSR policy group to look into the future at how a circular economy can be built - what are the drivers? Consumers' concerns about the environment, Millennials' attitudes to possessions, smart recycling... And of course, regulation.
This event will be of especial interest to manufacturers and retailers - we will be discussing future trends that businesses cannot afford to ignore.
The guest speaker will be Julia Patorska, leader of the Economic Analysis Team at Deloitte, who will cover the following topics:
The circular economy - a new way of achieving your macroeconomic business goals
Regulations and issues arising from EU law
From concept to practice - how can your firm adapt to the new realities?
Q&A session, comments from the floor, open discussion.
The meeting will be held in Polish and is closed to representatives of legal and advisory firms; thank you for your understanding.
