Seminar on changes in Polish tax law in 2016
The aim of the seminar is to discuss the changes to be introduced in Polish tax law in 2016. Each topic will be analysed from the perspective of employers, in a way ensuring they gain practical knowledge of planned modifications.
The first part of the meeting is going to focus on taxation issues most relevant in 2016, which include changes in tax regulations, matters related to VAT (tax fraud, carousel fraud, fixed establishment for VAT purposes, consequences of mistakes in tax statement, and the proposed changes in VAT laws), as well as modifications of income tax provisions.
In the second part of the meeting, changes to the employer’s legal duties and employment rights will be considered. The topic will be presented from the angle of employer’s risk, and the matters discussed will include terminal contracts, e-leave requests, family leave and benefits, and the new pension scheme for mandate contracts.
Magdalena Marcinowska (Grant Thornton, Partner in the Outsourcing Department) is one of the key persons shaping Grant Thornton’s views on HR and payroll outsourcing. She has 15 years’ experience in running HR and payroll administration, and specializes in issues such as salaries record, HR and payroll evidence, and various tax and pension declarations.
Maciej Hadas (Grant Thornton, Senior Manager in the Advisory Department) has 15 years’ experience as a tax advisor. Apart from specialising in corporate income tax, excise tax and goods and services tax, he has extensive expertise in international tax law and company law. He is the leader of “Wood and Furniture” sector.
