Robert Burns Night

Robert Burns Night

The British Polish Chamber of Commerce has the pleasure to invite you to

Robert Burns Networking Night

The BPCC will be celebrating the life and works of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, between 18:00 and 21:00 on Thursday 25 January.

Our Scottish envoy, Martyn O’Reilly, will master the ceremony which will be an informal appreciation of the life and times of Robert Burns upon his actual birthday where, in keeping with tradition he will recite Burns’s Ode to A Haggis

Fair and full is your honest, jolly face,
Great chieftain of the sausage race!
Above them all you take your place,
Stomach, tripe, or intestines:
Well are you worthy of a grace
As long as my arm.

This will be followed by poetry reading of Scotland’s national bard – translated into Polish as well – toasted with uisge beatha (water of life – better known as Scotch Whisky), sponsored by Diageo Business Club.

A night warmed by food, drink, friendship and poetry, a celebration of the life and works of Scotland's national bard, Robert Burns. This is the quintessentially traditional Scottish event that’s become a celebration for Scots and non-Scots around the world. We encourage everyone to wear some tartan – even a tie or scarf!

Places are limited so we kindly ask you to limit representation to two persons per member firm.

Please remember to take business cards with you. Registration form is available on this site.
