Preventing and fighting corruption - Polish and UK best practice
This is a chance for Kraków members to take part in an extremely popular seminar, focused on UK best practice and self-regulatory mechanisms to prevent corruption. The event has attracted a full house both times it was held in Warsaw earlier this year.
The first part of the seminar will be devoted to fighting corruption. Participants will be able to learn what procedures companies should implement to cut risks associated with corruption. There will also be a short overview of the assumptions underlying the UK Bribery Act 2010 and UK anti-corruption standards. The presentation will be made by Joanna Bankowska, managing director of BSI Group Polska.
The second part will discuss internal procedures and how to conduct investigations within a firm. Issues concerning whistle-blowers and cooperation between law enforcement agencies and businesses will also be considered in a presentation by Marcin Ciemiński from Clifford Chance.
Participation in this meeting is free of charge for BPCC members.
The meeting will be held in Polish.
Due to the limited number of seats available, registration will be strictly on a first-come first-served basis.
