Dispute Resolution in the Real Estate sector
Real estate is a business in which every conflict generates enormous costs. Taking a dispute to court not only destroys an existing business relationship, but also it adds an element of uncertainty sometimes lasting several years. Is there an alternative to going to court? How can real estate businesses reduce the costs of resolving disputes?
These questions will be answered during this meeting of the BPCC's Real Estate & Contruction Policy Group, which will also cover new legislation which came into force on 1 January 2016. The new law supports amicable methods of conflict resolution. During the meeting, experts will present the legal tools that will generate real savings for companies.
The meeting is aimed at:
• Board members and business owners
• Managers responsible for planning costs and budgets,
• In-house lawyers working in the real estate industry.
• Dr Ewelina Stobiecka, legal counsel, mediator, initiator and coordinator of the International Centre for Mediation; managing partner at Taylor Wessing in Warsaw
