BPCC and SPCC Real Estate and Construction Breakfast

The construction sector is the biggest producers of greenhouse gases and waste materials, generating three times more waste than construction and four times more than households.

Builders have a duty to the environment to source more sustainably, focus on recycling and deliver buildings that are carbon neutral. But with pressures on cost higher than ever before, what should the construction sector be doing to build sustainably and within budget? How much more should tenants expect to pay for sustainability? How to apply innovative solutions to improve the environmental impact and the wellbeing of the tenants’ employees?

This joint meeting of the SPCC’s and BPCC's Construction and Real Estate brings together all players in the sector - contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, developers - their financers and advisers - real estate agents and anyone else with an interest in the sector. The aim is to consider the key trends shaping the market and to share quality insights into future developments. Held under the Chatham House rule, the meeting ensures that discussions are honest and open.
