This unique evening was additionally graced by the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the British Honorary Consulate in Kraków. Kazimierz Karasiński, the Honorary Consul, received wishes from representatives of the British Embassy, the Voivode of Małopolska, the Mayor of Kraków and the BPCC Board. More than 150 guests – representatives of British Polish Chamber of Commerce and Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce (SPCC) gave Honorary Consul wishes and toasted the success of the coming new year.
Agnieszka Libura, director of BPCC Kraków, thanked the guests for the work they do to develop the region and business in Małopolska. She summarised BPCC Kraków initiatives in 2013 and presented the plans for 2014. The projected activities include, among others, Tourist Forum in London and Defence Sector Forum. The BPCC actively supports young talented sportsmen and sportswomen, and events for them such as the Acrobatic Rock'n'Roll World Champions. BPCC members also actively assist disabled people and Jasiek Mela’s Beyond Horizons Foundation.
Iga Fischer of the Scandinavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce, bestowed her best wishes to the Honorary Consul on behalf of her chamber's members, assuring guests of the ongoing close cooperation between SPCC and BPCC and friendliness both chambers feel for each other.
A spirited performance of Polish and English carols by was rendered by the Kraków Gospel Choir.
