Business Meeting & Mixer in Brzeg, with representatives of companies operating in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone.

On 6th April 2016 in the Best Western hotel in Brzeg stylish halls with stunning panoramic views of the of the Silesian Piast Princes Castle a Business Meeting & Mixer took place. The event was attended by representatives of companies operating in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, local entrepreneurs and member companies of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce.

The meeting began with a 1.5-hour long information part about issues related to the functioning of the SEZ. As first, Ms Margaret Włochal, Project Manager in the Investor Services Office at WSEZ, presented the organization and structure WSEZ, procedures and conditions for applying for permits  and funding as well as extensive forms of past-investment support. Then Mr. Michał Klimczak, tax adviser at KPMG, talked about what to look for when deciding to start operations in the special economic zone and in the first years of using the tax exemption, citing practical experience of investors. The information part was closed by Mr Andrzej Kulpa president of board in  KS Services, who presented the simulation of the demographic structure in Poland and forecasts of the  availability of employees in the market within the next 10 years, and also recommended strategies for HR departments on how to prepare for the upcoming changes.

After the informative part the guests were invited to an ellegant cocktail in the hotel restaurant, during which they could establish new business contacts. Volunteers were invited to try their skill on ride off-road Segways in the courtyard in front of the hotel prepared as an attraction by SuperSegway company.
