The event showcased regional member firms from both chambers and was an excellent opportunity to refresh contacts and talk about plans for the forthcoming year. Urszula Kwaśniewska, regional director of the BPCC’s Krakow branch, welcomed guests referring to the long tradition of organising the New Year meeting in interesting venues.
Ms Kwaśniewska summed up last year’s activities in BPCC Kraków, highlighting the development of export services aimed at Polish firms interesting in entering the UK market. She also spoke of stronger links with the regional membership base as well as closer cooperation with provincial authorities, in particular Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie. Dorota Kierbiedź, head of marketing and media at the BPCC, talked about her work within the BPCC team in Warsaw. She invited participants to plan their B2B advertising campaigns for 2016 around the BPCC’s media activities.
On behalf of the SPCC, guests were greeted by Agnieszka Zielinska, relationship & events manager, and Ilka Cristian-Niemi, the regional representative of the Chamber.
Event partner was the BPCC member firms 4-IT from Krakow, offering support services for the IT sector, including recruitment activities. Arkadiusz Matras, president of 4-IT presented his company, and introduced Marta Nowotyńska, who is responsible for selection of personnel for the sector. Testimonials from 4-IT’s clients followed; Marcin Kasza, beacon ambassador at Kontakt.io, and Gavin Stirrat, managing director of British firm Voluum located in Krakow.
The evening continued with great food and drink served by Piano Rouge, accompanied by vocal jazz which put the guests in an excellent mood. After the concert, guests were treated to piano interpretations of the standards of classical and pop music performed by Andrzej Ujda from Rolls-Royce, who gave a short impromptu concert on the grand piano. Many guests decided to dance. The host of the evening, Piano Rouge’s owner, Max Dudhia was also present, chatting with each of the guests, encouraging them to take make the most of the restaurant’s facilities in the future.
The event was warmly received by all participants, and the organisers look forward to welcoming partners to the event again next year.
