Ceramaspeed , a global manufacturing company with headquarters in the UK, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Factory construction is complete and will eventually employ up to 300 people.
Ceramaspeed is a company, serving the global appliance market with operations in four locations around the world. ”Our new factory development in Dąbrowa Górnicza is part of Ceramaspeed’s global expansion and is fundamental to our future growth and success”, said Kevin Roberts, Ceramaspeed’s Managing Director.
The new factory will manufacture and distribute high performance radiant heating elements for electric cooking appliances. It is located on the Prologis Business Park.
”We will offer a wide range of opportunities including manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, logistics and administration for people with all levels of education and experience,” said Jarosław Świerzy, Ceramaspeed’s Operations Manager. ”We value team-working and involvement, and will provide a rewarding environment for our people.”
The new factory is in the process of being equipped with production equipment and other infrastructure. The management team is working hard to get the factory ready for production in early 2008.
The new plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza has recently received ISO 9001:2000 quality management system. This milestone demonstrates the successful implementation of Ceramaspeed’s global quality policy.
Staff from Ceramaspeed’s head office in the UK worked with the local Polish team to set up the systems necessary to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 certification. This involved setting up a quality assurance system that provides a management framework to give the necessary controls to address risks, monitor and measure performance.
The successful certification for the new factory gives clear demonstration of Ceramaspeed’s commitment to quality.
"This is a major milestone for Ceramaspeed and is the first step to gaining customer approvals for product produced here in Poland” said Jarosław Świerzy.
