The Arthur Rubinstein International Music Festival in Łódź,

invites you to a huge musical event which takes place on

10–18 X 2008 in the Arthur Rubinstein Philharmonic Hall.

 

The world’s greatest pianists will be playing in homage to Arthur Rubinstein, in the city of his birth, under the honorary patronage of President of Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński and his wife, Maria Kaczyńska.

  • soloist: Alexander Gavrylyuk – piano (Messiaen, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky)

11 X 2008 (Saturday) 4.00pm, Lodz Philharmonic Chamber Hall

  • half-recital by Hubert Rutkowski, followed by a talk on the pianist and piano teacher Theodore Leschetizky
  • opening of an exhibition about T. Leschetizky in the foyer of Lodz Philharmonic

  • piano recital by Roman Rabinovich, prize-winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, Tel Aviv 2008.(Beethoven, Wiesenberg, Ravel, Scarlatti)

  • Prima Vista string quartet, Wojciech Waleczek – piano (Schumann),
