New Marshall, New BPCC, New Opportunity

Over 30 companies joined the BPCC breakfast briefing with the new Marshall of Upper Silesia which marked the launch of the new look BPCC Katowice.

Opening the meeting Hon British Consul and Hon. Chairman of the BPCC in Katowice Anan Stretton enthused " Katowice's time has come. There are many opportunities in the Silesian region for international companies to invest, the region has excellent infrastructure and the airport has immense expansion potential. It is a great honour for me to welcome to our meeting the new Marshall of Upper Silesia Dr Boguslaw Smiegielski."

In his address the Marshall covered the potential for the Upper Silesia
Region; a new promotion strategy, a focus on developing innovation and excellent regeneration opportunities. With one of the leading special economic zones in Poland Katowice is poised to continue to attract large scale foreign direct investment. UEFA Euro 2012 also creates a major opportunity for Chorzow.
