BPCC takes "Institution of the Year Award" in London

Poland's leading international business organisation (BPCC), was presented with the "Institution of the Year Award".

At an awards ceremony last night at the Polish Cultural Centre in London, the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, Poland's leading international business organisation, was presented with the "Institution of the Year Award" by Dziennik Polski and the Polish Cultural Foundation. This prestigious award is conferred for excellence in contributions to the development of Polish-British bilateral relations.

Since Poland's accession to Europe the BPCC has taken a leadership role in supporting Polish entrepreneurs who have set up businesses in Britain - there are believed to be up to 50,000 of them.

Commenting on the award, Martin Oxley, the BPCC's Chief Executive Officer said:

"This is fantastic news for the BPCC and its members. Over the last years, we have significantly expanded our activity in the UK with regular events promoting business opportunities in Poland and supporting Polish entrepreneurs in Britain. It is a great honour for us to receive this exclusive award. I am very proud of our team in the UK. They have worked hard to develop a range of programmes, seminars and services to support the Polish community - our export conferences and employment and HR conferences are landmark events - this is great news and a credit to all those in the BPCC network who have done so much to develop British-Polish relations".

"Dziennik Polski and the Polish Cultural Foundation are both august institutions in their own right - with a tradition going back six decades, they have built up a legacy of goodwill in the UK and have worthy traditions to pass onto the latest generation of Poles to arrive on Britain's shores", said Oxley.
