Yet again the high Atrium of the Sofitel hotel glistened with discreet Christmas tree lights and filled with buzz of various languages when over 400 top managers of international and Polish companies, local VIPs and representatives of diplomatic corps met at International Christmas Mixer in Wroclaw on December 14th.
| Yet again the high Atrium of the Sofitel hotel glistened with discreet Christmas tree lights and filled with buzz of various languages when over 400 top managers of international and Polish companies, local VIPs and representatives of diplomatic corps met at International Christmas Mixer in Wroclaw on December 14th. Joint Christmas events of BPCC and AmCham have altready become a tradition in Wrocław but for the first time the event was co-organised by 6 international chambers of commerce: American Chamber of Commerce in Poland, British Polish Chamber of Commerce, French Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Poland, Irish Chamber of Commerce, Scaninavian-Polish Chamber of Commerce, and Swisschamber Poland
The event was opened by a newly appointed Marshall of Lower Silesia Andrzej Łoś, Vice Mayor of Wrocław Sławomir Najnigier, Ambasador of Ireland Declan O’Donovan, Michael Grimm PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the 6 chambers’ representatives.
While huge zeppelin with Getin Bank logo cruised lazily above the heads, all guests enjoyed a festive atmosphere, exquisite Christmas delicacies, new selection of Carlsberg Polska beers, and a unique variety of top-shelf wines provided by Grand Cru.
The first part of the artistic programme was devoted to Polish traditions. The 60-people group ,,Kalina’’, performed regional dances and sung most beautiful Christmas carols. Later the guests were entertained by hot Cuban and Brazilian rhytms by the Grupo Costa band and singers. During the whole coctktail the fortune teller was available to reveal what the future held in store for those brave enough to ask. The highlight of the event was the Grand Prize Lottery Draw with its main prize of the LCD televisionset 26” funded by Komsa.
