South Poland: Anglo-Dutch Christmas Ball & Extravaganza - event coverage |
Break-dancing santas, bewigged 70s disco dancers, bekilted
bagpipers, chocolate fountains and fireworks. These were just some of
the treats served up at the Anglo-Dutch Christmas Ball in Kraków.
On 8th December, within the wonderful setting of the Tomaszowice Manor
House, British, Dutch and Polish business communities danced the night
away in a wild evening of extravagance which mixed dance styles and
Christmas traditions from around the world.
On arrival guests were greeted by sparkling snow angels, English mince
pies and mulled wine; at midnight, as fireworks filled the sky, Dutch
oliebollen. In between, a gourmet meal was accompanied by a fine
selection of wines, bourbons and speciality vodkas, a spectacular
chocolate fountain and mountain of Dutch cheeses.

A charity raffle raised almost 5,000 z oty for Kraków’s Community Youth
Clubs, which will send over 200 children on a variety of much-deserved
trips – an excursion to the Tatras, to the cinema, to the theatre and
to an adventure playground.
The Ball was organised by South Poland Business Link on behalf of the
British Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Netherlands Business Support
Office.
