Avian Pandemic Flu Contingency Planning |

We would like to draw your attention to the Pandemic Influenza
Checklist for Businesses which the Cabinet Office has drawn up to
assist British companies with their contingency planning as you may
find it useful when drawing up your own plan.
As you are aware, there is international concern about outbreaks of
avian influenza and fears that this might trigger a global human flu
pandemic.
The British government has been planning for this eventuality for some
time and wishes to encourage individuals and British companies to also
make contingency plans.
We would like to draw your attention to the Pandemic Influenza Checklist for Businesses

their contingency planning as you may find it useful when drawing up
your own plan.

We also wish to draw your attention and that of your British staff to
the fact that guidance leaflets and factsheets about Avian flu are
available on the Department of Health, FCO and Embassy websites.
